    This Vicks Dual Comfort Cool + Warm Mist Humidifier (VWC775) can be helpful when it’s difficult to sleep with cough and congestion. Both mist temperatures can provide temporary relief by adding necessary moisture to the air. Fusion Mist Technology boils water and fuses it with cool mist to generate the ideal warm mist temperature. During cold and flu season, when pollen season kicks in, or the air is simply just dry, you can rely on this medium humidifier for your entire family.  

    It accepts two soothing Vicks VapoPads and has a heated medicine cup to create a medicated mist with Vicks VapoSteam. Essential oils can also be added to the medicine cup for relaxation and aromatherapy (oils not included). With no filter to change and dual mist outlets that let you direct the mist to wherever you need it most, this humidifier customizes to fit your needs.

    Question: How do I set up/install my Vicks Dual Comfort Cool + Warm Mist Humidifier?

    Answer: Follow the step-by-step instructions below to set up your Vicks Dual Comfort Humidifier. 

    1. Remove packaging materials. Keep instructions.
    2. Remove twist tie and extend power cord.
    3. Place on a firm, level, water resistant surface a minimum of 12” (30cm) from any walls. 

    WARNING: KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN. THIS PRODUCT PRODUCES HOT STEAM AND SHOULD BE PLACED IN AN AREA NOT ACCESSIBLE TO CHILDREN OR PETS, WITH THE POWER CORD OUT OF REACH. 

    Question: Can Vicks VapoSteam and Essential Oils be used in the Medicine Cup?

    Answer: This humidifier features a Medicine Cup that can be used with your favorite essential oil or liquid inhalant (like Vicks VapoSteam) for added enjoyment. The cup is heated to help evaporate the oil. This is not a diffuser – the oil does not meet the water but is passively evaporated into the air. Essential oil and inhalant are not included. 

    1. Turn off the humidifier. 
    2. Add Vicks VapoSteam or essential oil to the Medicine Cup, turn on the humidifier. 
    3. To clean the Medicine Cup wait 5 minutes after turning the unit off. Then gently wipe residue from the cup with a soft cloth.  

    WARNING: DO NOT ADD ESSENTIAL OILS, LIQUID INHALANTS OR ANY ADDITIVES TO THE WATER. DOING SO CAN DAMAGE THE HUMIDIFIER AND VOID THE WARRANTY. 

    Question: Why is there white dust? 

    Answer: With an ultrasonic humidifier, a built-in nebulizer vibrates the water at ultrasonic frequency which causes the water droplets to break into a fine, cool mist that you can see. Naturally occurring minerals in your water get projected out with the mist and can settle around the unit in the form of white dust. In hard water areas, we recommend using demineralization cartridges with your ultrasonic humidifier to capture minerals in the water and to help reduce white dust on surfaces.
